January 2024

January marked a significant chapter of intentional change and fresh beginnings in my life. After bidding farewell to my job of 4.5 years in December 2023, I embarked on a journey to craft the life I desire. This newfound freedom aligned seamlessly with the start of the new year, offering me a fresh canvas to paint my aspirations. While I believe in setting goals throughout the year, I find solace in living harmoniously with the seasons. For this winter season, that meant embracing rest and resetting.

As a full-time first-generation undergrad Social Work student, my school break became a cherished period spent reconnecting with family and friends from afar. It was a profound recharge, unveiling the stark contrast to my previous job's demanding weekend and holiday hours.

Amidst the restful break, I set intentions and goals for the upcoming year, including the launch of my blog and website. The joyous revelation that I made the Dean's list for the fall 2023 semester brought tears of accomplishment.

A freelancer at heart, I entrust the universe to guide me to where I'm needed and provide for me. Those who know me, either personally or through Instagram, are familiar with my busy lifestyle. In addition to pursuing freelance opportunities, I ventured into substitute teaching. While being a full-time teacher isn't a long-term goal, my passion for life and learning compels me to share these experiences with others. Acknowledging the critical shortage of teachers, I feel grateful for the love, lessons, and new experiences that January has ushered in. Here's to embracing the unknown and eagerly anticipating what's next!
