Okay, let’s try this again… Hello 2025!

Hello! I am so happy you are here. ☺️

Last year, I had the crazy idea to start this blog and my website, to create a bigger and more personal place to connect rather than social media. So, I did it! Although I wasn’t as active here as I would have liked to be, creating this space was a huge first step for me. As 2024 came to an end, I did a bit of reflecting and realized that I did want to continue pursuing this, even if I’m not 100% sure what this is yet.

I wanted a place to document life as it happens - and not have to depend on an app… I’ll be honest, I have so many inspirations for starting this blog. I’ll share a few of them: Paris Hilton, Carrie Bradshaw (fictional characters count, right?), and an honorable mention, my personal friend, Katie Histing. I’ve been trying to honor my late friend the best I can; I think about her every day. Whenever I find myself sitting on a leap of faith, I think to myself “Live life like Katie” and then I push myself.  I’ll credit my writing style to Paris Hilton, who showed me that ADHD can be a strength and to authentically share your story, in your own voice. Take that as your warning, that this is going to be a little chaotic at times. 😉

There’s so much to cover, but let’s just start with January so far. Dre and I rang in 2025 at home with my parents and Gia, their cute weiner dog. To top off our quiet NYE we dusted off our old Scrabble game and put our vocabulary skills to the test- I think it’s worth mentioning that I won all three rounds. 😏 We also decided to go bowling, a favorite of ours. A few days after that we went sledding at Mt. Rose with Dre’s family. How can you not have fun flying down a snow-covered hill? We also celebrated my niece’s first birthday. Her birthday party was themed Alice in One-derland… so cute.

I took full advantage of winter break because this year is going to be a busy one! I just started my final semester of undergrad for social work and officially submitted my Master of Social Work application. 🤞🏼 As I wait to hear back on that front, I’ll be continuing my internship as well as working and making progress in my classes before graduation in May.

As far as free time goes, I’ve been focused on my overall health and wellness. I’ve been trying to be more active lately, so we have been visiting the gym and cooking at home. I’ve been reading books, coloring for fun, and overall just trying to find more creative outlets.

Take care and thank you for reading! 🫶🏼
